Solutions for the use of technology in cases like the Astros

According to “Astros cheating scandal: MLB’s penalties warranted in unprecedented case, but might not be harsh enough” Mike Axisa states “the $5 million fine is probably not enough to deter similar behavior in the future”. In other words 5 million dollars compared to the giant organization of the Houston Astros is like nothing. The amount of money an organization makes during the world series can be 5 to 17 times the amount of the 5 million dollar fine. For the Astros who won the 2017 World Series that is like paying only 5 dollars to them. This is a problem. The MLB needs to make cheating like this more of a penalty and not a normal thing to do. The MLB can increase the price of the fine so any other team who even tries to reenact what the Astros did will be severely punished and made an example out of. If the MLB issues out a heavy fine to any organization the other 29 owners will see this and make sure no one is cheating. 5 million is just not enough to discourage anyone from trying a stunt like this again.
