Hi!

This is going to be my last blog post, I am at the end of my internship. My experience has been wonderful, it was nothing as I have expected. I was very stressed out at the beginning since this was my first internship, but after a week my stress has left me 🙂
People at the office were very nice and easy going, they were always smiling and laughing. If I were out to evaluate myself I would have said I did very good, I was on time, nice to everyone around me, did all the work I was asked for and always on time. I hope everyone has a good and stress-free environment at their internships.

How are you?
This blog post is going to be about a design I have worked on. My supervisor asked me to create a social graphic for the first day of December. She told me to research pictures that show its December and winter is coming and than she gave me the freedom to write what I wanted on it. So after researching photos and ideas that give a winter, christmas and cold vibe I have found a perfect idea to design my graphic. I have selected the image I thought fit perfectly and placed texted on it, which was : Hello December you’re the last one so be the best one. I was very happy with my design but I was nervous to e-mail it to my supervisor since she didn’t really give me any details or directions I should go in. She e-mailed me back after a couple of minutes and she loved the design. I was happy and relieved when I read the e-mail, now the graphic is on their facebook and instagram page. You can find the graphic at the end of this post as well 🙂
I am very happy with my internship and the progress I have made by going there, has thought me a lot of things. And a lot of I am proud of my work, because they like it, and most of the time I don’t have to redesign it multiple times.

Hi Everyone,

Today I am going to write about my first time retouching photos.
My supervisor has given me photos of models to retouch and since I have never really done it before it was a little challenging. I worked on it for a couple of hours, like around 3 and managed to do it pretty good. 😀
I also took photos of the products which were on a white board, I took a couple of shoots and ran it by my supervisor if they were taken from a good angle. After she liked them I copied them onto my laptop and started to work on them. Cleaning up the background like shadows and making it lighter. Those images were easy to retouch and didn’t take as long as the other ones. This assignment was definitely different from my other assignments during my internship but it was a great learning experience and I have definitely learned how to retouch photos better.

How is everyone ?

In todays post I am going to write about a project that I have worked on with another graphic designer. This project were google ads, once again 🙂

She has designed three of the ads and I have designed the other three. They looked consistent with one another, throughout the progress of creating these ads we would communicate via e-mail. I would e-mail her my progress and receive feedback from her. These ads would take around two hours to be perfectly finished. We worked together great and communicated with each other great as well. It was fun working with her on those ads.

Hi Everyone,
How is everyone doing?

I have actually attended and helped with an event that was hosted in one of the Bradelis stores. The event was called “An Evening of Lingerie and Cocktails” which was 2 hours long. The event had snacks such as popcorn, mini macaroons, crackers and spring rolls. Oh, and also champagne. Which I was responsible for giving out to the guests. There was also a small show, where they had three models which where modeling their newest bra and panty collection while my supervisor explained their features. The whole event was nice, the people that have attended were also very nice. But also the people that work in the store and I have met for the first time were very nice to me. I had a good time at the event and it was a great experience!

The first time I was asked to create google ads I was pretty nervous. I had to create 4 different sized ads with the same text. It seemed like a big project but after I while I started creating the ads, and my stressed evaporated. 🙂
I worked on it by myself and e-mailed my supervisor what I have designed to get some feedback if she liked it. She e-mailed me right away, pointed out some changes she wanted me to make, and I started to work on it again. And the next time I e-mailed her she liked them.
The google ads took me about two hours to finish if I remember right 😀 But it was a fun project to work on, in overall if feels great to work on projects that are not for school anymore but actually for a company. I noticed that they want their designs to be elegant, clean and sophisticated looking. To show that the company is that, and to show it on their designs.

Hello Everyone,
I am going to tell you a little about the place where I have my internship.

The vibe in the workplace of Bradelis is great. Everyone is nice and easy going. The attire is casual but not too casual. If you come to the office you don’t need to wear a suit or heels but you also can’t come wearing sweats or ripped jeans. You can dress in jeans and a nice sweater. I usually dress in jeans with a nice shirt or a sweater with a scarf. The work station is an open work area, it has desks that are divided with shelfs. Its very spacy, clean and comfortable.

I come at 10am and leave at 6pm, I take a 30 minute lunch at different time every time I am there. There is a lot of places around to grab something to eat, but I usually stick to getting coffee or tea and eat my homemade lunch. I have also noticed that a couple of employees come at 9am or at 9:30am and leave an hour or 30 minutes earlier.

Hi all,
My first day in the office !
I have came in a little before 10 am and waited for my supervisor to come, and when she did she showed me to my desk and I started setting up. About 30 minutes later, she assigned me a design to create and I started to work on it. A little after 12pm I showed her what I have made and she liked it.
Yay me!
 After that I went for lunch and when I came back my supervisor was at a meeting and she e-mailed me to research some inspirational photos of summer and flowers. So I was researching images for about two hours and when she came back she assigned me some more work to do. Which wasn’t actually graphics but a word design for their up coming event. And by the time I knew, it was already around 6pm and I was told that I can start getting ready to leave. So I did as I was told and punched out my card at 6pm and when home 🙂 ! First day at the internship was great.

Hello Everyone,

I have found my internship at a website www.internship.com where you sign up and create a resume and you apply for internship. I have send a little message about the internship being for college credits, and the days I am available to come. A couple of days later I’ve received an e-mail about an interview. I have attended the interview, I was interviewed by Teneshia, it was a in-person interview and only with her.  She asked a couple of questions and showed me a couple of their work and asked me if I am able to design something like they have designed before, and I responded with a yes. Before the interview ended she asked me if she can e-mail me instructions and for me to create a graphic design. I have created the graphic and e-mailed it to her. On the next day, I have received and e-mail offering me the position at the internship.

This is the design I have created and that got me the internship ! 🙂

Hi Everyone !

How are you guys doing ?

So this post is going to be about my first internship,ever! I have heard stories from my friends that had internships and most of them said it was stressful and hard. Well, that put extra stress on me when it was my time to go for an interview and get an internship. But so far, my experience has been nothing but great.

The office is located in Mid Manhattan while the stores have three locations. The company is a private which primary business is lingerie and their unique bras. The customers for this company are women. The company was founded in 1994 to support lingerie that is meant to reshape your body silhouette. The company has boutiques in New York and throughout Asia.

I have attended my internship three times a week for eight hours but recently I have been going two days a week instead. I work on my own laptop and have my own desk. Which you will be able to find a picture of at the end of this post. I work in the graphic design department.

I wasn’t really able to find any news articles about the company except for their store and lingerie reviews. Which most of the reviews are positive on both the lingerie and customer service at the store.
