In Summer 2018, I took a course in pharmacology, and learned an extensive amount in a short period regarding pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and dental management of patients with pharmacological considerations. I took part in a group project which covered the topic of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and contraceptives. I also conducted research on an over-the-counter supplement, Elderberry, and learned that it is a primary ingredient in at least one brand of periodontal dressing.
