Here is my final postcard design. After receiving great feedback during class, I reviewed my three postcard designs and went forward with concept one. I wanted to keep a sense of the first design but add texture and depth. I kept the eye border; however, I replaced the eye from the eye design in concept 3. I also changed the background. Instead of a black background, I used a beige color to match how paper looked during Impressionism (late 1800s – early 1900s). I added a grainy texture by increasing noise reduction and centering the inner glow. I changed the font to Carol Gothic which I think further complements the old papery background. I played with the arrangement of the quote by separating the line evenly with four words on the top and four words beneath. Finally, to add the final touches of the postcard, I added three lines and stamp placement.
