Page 4- Set Up Work Environment

This portion of the semester is where we plotted various shapes and real life textures such as flats and had to use viewports in Auto Cad. I have gained a broader knowledge from since we started because at first I wasn’t well educated on viewports (as you can see in some drawings I will post below) But the drawings you make in drawing space will be applied to model space by using the viewport tool in which you draw out a designated space for the image to snapped into model space. The scale will then be set. Most commonly 1/4″-1′-0″. The scales have to match up so that when its time to print the image isn’t too big or too small. This is also where you can show different views of the same picture (i.e.. the flat) This will provide the dimensions necessary for the construction to commence so that details are followed to a tee. There is also project information at the bottom of most projects. ENT 1108 LAB 7 6Viewpoints
