Living near LaGuardia Airport has its perks when one needs to fly, but there’s a few drawbacks which all homeowners in the area can agree on. Taxis and town cars are constantly taking parking spaces and throwing their trash wherever they please. Many homesĀ have aggressive signs to let alert theseĀ driversĀ where they shouldn’t be.
Most signposts in the area are filled with flyers. They range from flea markets, rooms for rent, lost dogs, and people just looking for work. The signs usually remain on the posts way beyond their expiration dates.
The majority of the signs near my home are focused around the airport and its passengers. Many rentals are located within a mere block from each other. There are also helpful signs instructing people towards the airport, even some for JFK.
Great job noticing that LaGuardia is the subject of your neighborhood. Lots of san serif, making the neighborhood feel very transient and lacking even some personality!
