Before college I honestly didn’t know what I wanted to do. I did know that I wanted to purse a career in the arts. This is what lead me to majoring, Communication Design at City Tech. At first I was attracted to logo design, but overtime I began to become more and more interested in illustration. Comics, manga, fine art, digital illustrations etc. I was enamored by all of it and decided that I would begin my journey to become an illustrator. My dream is for every year to be better than the last and that I don’t ever stop drawing.
As of right now I am illustrating everyday, whatever I like or see or get inspired by. Practicing and practicing just to keep up the momentum. Even though I love illustration, the other aspects of communication design are fun and important as well. Photography, typography, using the Adobe systems, and other aspects of the major are all essential to me in continuing my growth. I hope to one day create my own comic or manga, or even help design games as well. I don’t exactly know where the future will take me but I’m enjoying the ride.
