What i’m doing to get my internship is to update and “polish” my resume. Here’s how it was. At first I showed my professor, (Tanya Goetz) my resume. It was via email, on 2/7/2023. The thing she said was:

“Thanks for sending this. A couple of points. Don’t put your photograph on the resume. It is not something I recommend to students for we will discuss in class next time we meet but here are some articles that discuss the reasons not to have the photo on the resume.”

She showed me the links that are associated with all of that.

She also stated: “Also you don’t want to put your resume in a box, literally. It is visually distracting the focus should be on your information. Instead use Ms. Kaplan’s resume as an inspiration or Ms. Barales’s resume.

Your experience on this resume is far too limited with regard to the copy. Those items should be on your portfolio. Instead if you are light on work experience, use a Relevant Coursework section and a computer skills section. (Basically, if you) have (done any) Related experience (in) one project (you have done) in a class, (then) you can list that as a class where you did that, (even for a client and describe it).

So, my feedback is to design a whole new resume from scratch, Regards, Prof. Goetz.”

I aimed to do everything she was, suggesting. To be continued in part 2
