My name is Jose Ortiz and I am a Communication Design major at New York City College of Technology. I had always struggled deciding what to study and pursue, because truthfully, I want to be a lot of things! I want to be a graphic designer, an illustrator, a web designer, photographer, as well as a software and game developer. After all, I go by a quote someone once said that goes “Life is not about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself.” Therefore, it makes sense I would be drawn to this major, as it incorporates an arsenal of creative, valuable skills to carry with me in the path to making my life a work of art. The more the merrier, as this will aid me in my future careers to come– so I am highly dedicated to learning all that I can.
My goal is to create an outstanding online presence across all platforms; Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Ebay and Instagram/Twitter. Additionally, I will create websites alongside this e-portfolio to showcase all my skills, projects and ideas gathered in this journey to greatness. It is ideal to brand myself and sell, gaining income from multiple sources from having dedicated channels in all these platforms to distinguish my content. The sky’s the limit, dattebayo!
