My philosophy of nursing is that I believe nursing is a rewarding, fulfilling, and true calling profession. It requires hard work, integrity, and compassion. It allows for so many different opportunities and opportunities to grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually through daily challenges.
As nurses we do and provide so much for our patients that many times it can go unnoticed. We have the duty to make sure dosages are safe, and the right medications are administered. We are with our patients twenty-four hours of the day and night and we are the first ones to any immediate requests. We are required to be on our feet every hour of the day despite sickness. We choose this profession despite the hard work, highs, and lows, because of our compassion.
