Remixing Reality: AR urban interventions Workshop, a webinar I attended. On Monday, February 14, 2022, at 5:00(EST). It was done by Zoom and it was a two hours workshop. There were 3 hosts, Molly R, Miriam Abraham, Florentina. The instructor of this company was Miriam Abraham. The company sponsor for the webinar was the Detour app. The topic covered was AR applications in Activism & art, Using Spark AR’s plane tracker to create in-camera/world space, Importing and modifying 3D objects; materials, Animating 3D objects using Patch Editor, Interactions using Patch Editor, Blender: creating procedural rock models, Importing 3rd party models; Blender model, Particle Systems, Music & Sound from AR Library and Sharing / Degloving. I learned about NYU maker space, a 10,000 square foot cutting-edge prototyping lab located in downtown Brooklyn. They also have a design lab, which is the educational programming and support arm of the maker space. AR can be used within different industries and its potential with injustice-driven dimensions, how to create simple world effects, and do some basic 3d modeling.
Miriam Abraham presented all of the things then she had assigned to us after she had allowed us to ask questions. Download Spark AR version 131, log in with Facebook, install the Spark AR Player app on your phone or tablet, download course materials, and install Blender 2.93.1. (ar newer). She requested that we use a blender to make changes to assets. Add physics, a texture, bake the animation and save the file as. FBX is a file format that allows you to create (import fbx with UV texture). I learned a lot about Blender as a result of the webinar. The app was fantastic. It makes me think of the Adobe Premiere and After Effects programs. However, the app was interesting to me in that it allowed me to build something unusual, such as models. It’s also beneficial to be aware of The construction business is one real-world application for AR. Microsoft Hotolens is working to incorporate its augmented reality headset onto construction helmets to help employees build safely and show clients their projects in context.
