About Me

I am a Hospitality Industry professional with experience in food service operations inclusive of supervising and managing restaurant operations. I was owner and managing director of a bakery/espresseria for fourteen years located in the center of the financial and touristic district of Syntagma Square in Athens, Greece. I am a person who strives towards achievement and self-development. This brought me to New York in order to accomplish a long wanted dream of attaining an academic education and expanding my experiences in the hospitality industry. I am currently attending NYCCT working towards the completion of a BA in Hospitality Management with a focus on Hotel Administration and preparing for the continuation of my academic development by aiming towards a graduate degree in Business Administration. My goal is to attend Baruch College and enlist to its MBA program with a focus in management or human resources.
The past four years in New York I have developed a passion for the Hotel industry while working and studying full-time in this great city. I was fortunate enough to start my working experience in the F&B department of The Strand hotel and quickly felt amazed by the complexity and vast variety of knowledge and skills needed to operate and manage a hotel. When changing career directions you have to be willing and prepared to start from the beginning and work your way up steady and patiently while constantly being open to learning and improving one’s self. My decision to progress into hotel operations and be a part of this fascinating field of work has brought to me many benefits and a feeling of accomplishment. I am eager to work hard and humble in order to learn as much as I can about all aspects and all departments of a hotels operations while enriching my academic development as well.
