  1. The Homeless Veterans;

As we walk through the streets of our community, and others, we often run across to those who are homeless. Upon meeting or coming into contact with this population we are not sure what to think in these situations, so what we do is walk by them each and everyday without so much of an after thought of their situation.

About 564, 708 people in the United States suffer from homelessness in 2015. (“Snapshot of Homelessness,” 2015) However, homeless veterans make up 8 percent of the overall homelessness population by 47,725. (“Snapshot of Homelessness,” 2015) Since veterans suffer from war-related disabilities such as, post-traumatic stress, physical disability, mental anguish, etc. they find readjusting to their everyday life difficult. (“Snapshot of Homelessness,” 2015)

Having difficulty readjusting can lead them to dangerous behaviors such as addiction to drugs, abuse to themselves, and even violence towards others, which can lead to homelessness. (“Snapshot of Homelessness,” 2015)
