Prospect Park
Prospect Park is the largest park in Brooklyn. There are many activities to do like sports including baseball, volley ball and soccer. There’s a lot of open space you can enjoy also by looking at waterfalls, lakes and even to take your dog to the dog parks. Great place to have picnics with friends and family. It’s also a great place to take pictures with nature.
Friday
- Visit Friendly Friends | 12 P.M
The Prospect Park Zoo was opened in 1890. You can enjoy learning about different kinds of animals at Prospect Park Zoo. Teens and adults can volunteer. Teens can volunteer to be Discovery Guides where they can help answer questions, help in special events and also for children activities. Adults are Education Docent where help animal exhibits, help lead tours and also assist educational programs. To get here you can take the B, Q and S trains to Prospect Park.
- A Quick Slice | 6 P.M
Later stop by for a slice of pizza at Luigi’s Pizza located in South Slope, a peaceful neighborhood. Luigi’s Pizza is a family owned restaurant opened in 1973. It was voted best pizza slice in 2015 and 2012 by The Village Voice. You can have a regular pie for just less than $15. Other than pizza you can also enjoy calzones and also ziti. To get here you can take the R train to Prospect Avenue.
Saturday
- Important Meal of the Day | 9 A.M
Start your morning by having Breakfast at 7th Avenue Donuts. Enjoy breakfast specials for less than $20; a very good price. Try out their delicious fresh baked donuts early in the morning. If you enjoy the food here you’re lucky because they are opened 24 hours. You can take the F and G trains to 7th avenue.
- History and Art | 12 P.M
The Brooklyn Museum was opened in 1897. Stop by to the Brooklyn Museum and to explore and learn about many statues, sculptures and paintings. You can attend many exhibits, galleries, programs and also workshops. At the museum they provide art classes for children, teens and adults. You can take the 2 and 3 trains to Eastern Parkway Brooklyn Museum.
- It’s Movie Night | 7:30 P.M
Enjoy your Saturday night watching a movie at The Pavilion Cinemas. Choose from many different movie releases. Enjoy watching movies with either friends, families or your significant other while eating popcorn. You can take the F and G trains to 15 Street Prospect Park.
Sunday
- Some Quiet Time | 12 P.M
Visit the biggest library in Brooklyn; the central Library. You can have some quiet time at the Brooklyn Public Library. There are many tables and seats so that you can read books, magazines and study. You can also use the computers provided or your very own laptop with their free Wi-Fi available. Take a quick snack at the cafe located in the first floor. You can take the 2 and 3 trains to Grand Army Plaza to get here.
