36 hours in Brooklyn.

With the huge popularity in Brooklyn. The popular restaurant and attractions Brooklyn, New York is one of the most diverse places you can visit. This trip is also very children friendly, and makes for a great time for kids.

The community of Brooklyn has really become more popular over the years. Brooklyn has the most diverse community. Brooklyn’s population is at 2.592 million, while Queens is only at 2.296 million. Being in the city that never sleeps there’s a lot to do in just Brooklyn itself. Brooklyn has tons of lodging, restaurants, shops and historical places. To get around transportation is very easy thanks to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority(MTA), the train and bus is available to get around. If this is your first time visiting Brooklyn, New York you might want to consider visiting these places,

Friday

  1. Beach & Walk, NOON

Visiting the Coney Island boardwalk and beach is very thrilling. The boardwalk has many amazing restaurants like Nathan’s housedog you have to try when in New York. When walking down the boardwalk you see people from the community, tourists. When visiting the boardwalk you have the option to go on the rides, they have to offer which include the carousel, and the Cyclone.

  1. Museum, 3 P.M.

A visit to the Coney Island Museum is a wonderful attraction the price to get in is $5 and if you have a child under 12 it’s $3. When you’re in Coney Island you should visit the Coney Island Museum. This museum is historical to Coney Island because it’s a look back into the past of how Coney Island was, there’s a lot of comparison towards the past and the present. There are also family activities inside the museum.

Saturday

  1. Brooklyn Bridge, NOON

Walking on the Brooklyn bridges is one of the most amazing things you can do in Brooklyn. You see many of the local residents jogging, socializing or whatever. But you also see a lot of tourists around the bridge. The bridge has an amazing scenery. You can either walk, or skateboard or ride a bike across the bridge. The bridge is approximately 5,989 FT long. The pedestrian walkway is approximately 1.1 miles.

Brooklyn bridge park is very diverse with the amount of activities that can be done there. The 85 acre park in Brooklyn has many stores and community recreational activities to be done there. Stores at the Brooklyn bridge include the Ice cream factory, Lizzmonade, Luke’s lobster, and many more! You can also experience riding on the ferry at the Brooklyn bridge park.

  1. Chocolate To Go, 5 P.M.

When visiting Brooklyn you want to make sure you stop by Mast Brothers Chocolates, the chocolates are incredibly amazing. The chocolates are handcrafted bars and made from organic beans from Madagascar, the Dominican Republic. They have a huge selection of flavors from milk, dark, all the way to sea salt, and goat milk chocolate! Which makes this place very unique and a must when visiting.

  1. Steak Dinner, 7 P.M.PC: Business-Insider

After an exhausting day walking the Brooklyn Bridge and exploring Brooklyn Bridge park travel for a wonderful steak dinner at Williamsburg Brooklyn. Peter Lugers have a wide variety of menu choices but are famous for their porterhouse steak. This restaurant is almost resemblance towards the 1900’s the waiter are really old fashion, but very polite. The experience at this restaurant is recommended.  If you plan to come to New York you have to reserve a spot in the restaurant. Peter Lugers doesn’t take walk in’s and booking is done months in advance. Also the restaurant doesn’t take any sort of cards, payment is in cash only.

Sunday

  1. Barclay, NOON

The Barclay center has a lot of different events going on at the venue. The events range from sporting events, music events, circus, boxing etc. The venue is newly built and everything is still fairly new. Tickets will vary depending on the type of event you go to so make sure you look up pricing and the type of event you want to go to.

  1. Burrito Bar, 4 P.M.

A visit to Burrito Bar is a great way to end your trip if you love Mexican food. Burrito Bar is all made to order and have excellent guacamole. This place also makes great margaritas.  An extra is that the food is amazing and the portion size for the burrito is huge.

Madison Square Garden

The site I chose to write about for the concierge assignment is Madison Square Garden. I chose Madison Square Garden[MSG] because  I believe that MSG is one of the most iconic spots in New York City, and I would recommend tourists to visit  if they were visiting New York for the first time. In Madison square garden a lot of things happen from sports event, to graduation to concerts and more. Anthony Chang Industry Professional and Future Leader

As a future industry leader, I plan to be working front desk in a hotel and or manage a hotel. I will do so by succeeding in all my classes, and graduating City Tech with a degree in hospitality management. If opportunity rises, I would love to work in a different town to experience the different atmosphere. My career goals in the future would be working in another city or state, I would personally like to work in Florida around the Miami or Orlando area being front desk at a hotel. How I will achieve to do so is try to enter through a company either through as a full time employer or as an intern and try to take advantage of any opportunity that might a rise.
