to redirect input lazy dog to cat

allow you to redirect the output from to command and pipe it to another

allows you to find patterns within files, and shows you all the file that has the name in it.

head- it shows you the first 10 lines of a file

tail- it shows you the last 10 lines of a file

when you use echo, it talks back to you.
