In today generation kids are basically going to school just to be given unnecessary information that will not go no where in life. Parents should start taking action in trying to change this corrupted school system because teachers these days preferably the teachers in high school cause that’s where its really noticeable. Parents should go up to the school and talk to the principle about their child’s education because they are basically wasting there time coming to school and learning literally nothing that will help them in life. students should also stand up and say something about this problem before it gets even worse than it is right now. Students aren’t getting the proper education they deserve in today’s society. There are many ways that students can take the initiative to go out and get there education and there parents can do anything in their power to help and support their kids.

Since some teachers are lazy and would rather just give the students work without even caring if they did well or not. Also since teachers don’t like the fact they have to set up test, grade the test, create homework, grade it and also correct it, but the biggest problem of all is giving up there free time to help tutor students after school especially when they need it. Parents should go up to the school and talk to the principle about their child’s education because they are basically wasting there time coming to school and learning literally nothing that will help them in life. Parents should look for tutors that can helps there kids in the specific section of work they lack in instead of waiting for change. Parents can put there kids in after school programs where its a guarantee that their child they need. If there are parents that was well educated and have a degree can help their kids in the subjects there well educated in instead of relying on other people giving their kid false information. Parents should also take the initiative to go up when there is parent teacher conference to check up on there work progress because that is showing that you care and trying to support your kid in any way possible. For example when I was in high school English said it is important that parents go to parent teacher conference because it shows that you care because once some kids start seeing that there parent dont really care if they go to school and do their work then they wont care about doing their work and also they wont even care about going to school. So parents gotta be on there kids about there school work so they could do and complete all of their work so they could graduate on time and also have an education so they can have a successful career.

Students can look at programs or after school classes that can give them college credit and also give them extra help. For example when I was in high school the student adviser handed packets and she said if we do and attend the class we are guarantee to get college credits and you we have an early head start in college when it comes to the content and it gives an idea what college work is about and how it differs from high school. Students can also take the initiative and go to the library and search for books that can help them with there studies and school. Additionally students can look ask for help among there classmates because there will be a student who knows more and understand things better than others so asking for there help or even asking them to tutor them and that would be one of the most effective way to learn to gain more information and to understand things better at a different viewpoint. Also students can ask people what do they do or what type of materials they use to help them when they dont know anything that relates to the work.

Therefore in conclusion students need the proper guidance in order for them to take on the obstacles ahead of them in order to have a full filling life but should also they should try and be independent and seek other things that can help them instead of waiting and relying on others. Also parents need to start taking the initiative in making sure there child is getting a proper education by giving them all the support they are able to and giving them different opportunities where they are able to learn. Additionally they have to make sure their kid is not wasting there time in going to school for information that will not help them in there lives in the future.

“Im not racist”

The song “im not racist” was released on November 28 2017 which has 2.4 million views. The song was made to shows two men one black and one white in a warehouse and they are given the opportunity to air there racial grievances at one another and also their racial problems that they go through in there everyday life. Throughout the song “Im not racist” is repeated in order to show people that they are not racist but they just want to understand each other better and understand what one another is going through. In this generation people are often thought to be victimized even when they are not. In the song “Im Not Racist” by Joyner Lucas it shows two different people expressing their view points on how they are victimized in this society.

The white guy in the video is thought to be victimized so he starts to list examples on how he is. The white guy talks about how he’s not a racist but he is tired how black people are going about things in life for example according to the song he stated “Yellin’ “nigga this” and “nigga that” Call everybody “nigga” and get a nigga mad As soon as I say “nigga” then everyone react”. The white guy feel like he is being attacked and victimized by the black people just because he said the word nigga but in reality he is not he just feels attacked by others. The white guy in the video feels like this is a major problem but nobody really sees it as a big deal they just think that he is complaining or feel attacked. The white gets frustrated and states “that And I work my ass off and I pay my taxes for what? So you can keep livin’ off free government assistance?” This shows how the white guy feels attacked so he start stating things that most black do. He is labeling all black people into one category. According to the song it states that “Food stamps for your children, but you’re still tryna sell ’em For some weed and some liquor or a fuckin’ babysitter While you party on the road ’cause you ain’t got no fuckin’ goals? You already late You motherfuckas needa get your damn priorities straight”. The white guy is getting angry because every time he say something he gets attacks and feels like he is the bad guy because everything he say is made into a big deal and then he feels victimized.

On the other hand the black guy in the song talks about being victimized also but its taken more serious because in this generation and society people are making it a big deal because of the way how people victimize black people. The black guy states that “he power in the word “nigga” is a different sin We shouldn’t say it but we do, and that just what it is
But that don’t mean that you can say it just ’cause you got nigga friends Nigga, that word was originated for you to keep us under”. The black guy says how he is being victimize and its far worse than the white guy in the video is making his problem to be. The black guy explain how the n word the white people use to degrade us, black people use it to we know that’s just how we greet each other and also we use it because we know there’s a double meaning under. According to the song the black guy states that “And even if I wasn’t picking cotton physically That don’t mean I’m not affected by the history My grandmama was a slave, that shit gets to me And you ain’t got no motherfucking sympathy, you pussy nigga!”. No matter what happened in the past with people family relatives that dealt with slavery, segregation and racial abuse can affect there family members in the far future. He also states that “Can’t erase the scars with a bandage” in the song to explain you cant forget the pain so easily, especially if it keeps on happening in the world we live in.

Therefore in conclusion people that feel victimized should stop and think maybe the other person is going through something way worse than what they might be going through. In the song it states “I wish we could trade shoes or we could change lives So we could understand each other more but that’d take time But there’s two sides to every story and now you know mine, I’m hopin’ maybe we can come to an understandin’ Agree to disagree, we could have an understandin”. Its better to try an understand other people as best as we in order to know their pain instead of feeling victimized and attacking other people.

I will revise the revision one paper. I plan on changing the way of bringing up the problem and talk more about the solution because i didnt give much detail on the solution in the revision essay. This time it will focus more on the things students can do that can help themselves instead of the listing all the problems thats occurring in the school. i want to write where I can reach out to the teenagers in school to try and help them give them advice to succeed.

In our society people are treating each other unfairly just because of the different skin color and based on there ethnic group but nobody is seeing this as a problem. The song “im not racist” by Joyner Lucas is about a white guy and a black giving there view point of racism in there own way and how it affects them in the society. The white guy talks about how he’s not a racist but he is tired how black people are going about things in life for example he stated Yellin’ “nigga this” and “nigga that” Call everybody “nigga” and get a nigga mad As soon as I say “nigga” then everyone react. This shows that black people be looking at white people as people thats wants to be like them or just being the people that look down on them like they use to in the slavery era. Also he states that how he dont like how black are not being there for their kids or helping them financially but instead they are wasting money on weed, partying on the road and that they dont got they priorities straight. Also they dont have goals for themselves so they dont even know where to go after a certain point. Additionally they rather sell drugs than get a job. The black guy talks about how theirs nothing wrong with black people saying the word nigga because we know thats how we great each other but when the white people use it has a double meaning and that they cant use it because they have black friends because they made up that word to throw black people under. Also he states that white people are trying to take black culture and make it theirs. He is tired of how the cops is always trying to start something for no reason, they stop and question a black guy just because he is black but they would not do that to a white person. This shows how we might live in the same place but we are in two different worlds. We are world were people are treated different because of the color of our skin and certain people got certain privileges this shows how unfair this world is. We also treat one another unfairly in this society. Black people are being harassed by white people especially by the white cops, they also have to deal with the racism by others and the criticism that they get for certain they or even how they want to live their life. In the song he states that “Judging me by my skin color and my blackness Tryna find a job but ain’t nobody call me back yet Now I gotta sell drugs to put food in my cabinet”. This shows how white people are criticizing how black people are trying make money but they are not talking about how they are trying to get to get jobs to support themselves or for there family but its hard because of the racial profiling thats going on in this society so a job would pick up a white person first before a black person. In this day and age its very hard for a black to have a successful career because of how people look at them thats why black people treat and look at white people in a certain way.

White people gets look at differently by black people because of everything thats going starting from the president to the people in there society. Some call us niggers and would state that the world need to go back to the old days where we were still slaves and thats why some will say that president trump need to make the world great again which they referring to that era. Thats why black have this type of attitude towards white people. But not all white people think like that but black people tend to treat all of them the same which in a way is unfair. This is why there is unfair treatment between black and white people and this is not going to change no time soon.

It could be both the students and teachers or just the students or just the teachers on why the students are not getting the proper education they need in order to make the right decisions when they get older.

The school system in this new generation is corrupted we have teachers that are out here rubbing there ideals to gullible young consumers that don’t really much about the world as yet. Some teachers would tell us her ideals and her opinion about the things happening and the young gullible kids agreed on the things she was saying even though we didn’t understand what she was talking about. In the article “Against School”, John Taylor Gatto expresses his point of view which it shows how the American schooling system seems childish. According to the article “Against School” by John Taylor Gatto it says “My own experience had revealed to me what many other teachers learn along the way, too, yet keep to themselves for fear of reprisal”. Additionally if a student was to corrected a teacher by telling them your not suppose to be teaching students about her religion, or her ideals but it can backfire because some teachers hate to be corrected so they might try to do something to the student like fail him or give extra homework.

The other problems that are shown is that certain teachers don’t like there job or they don’t like work load they are mandatory to do. Some of the teachers don’t like dealing with students especially the ones that don’t listen to there instructions. There are teachers that are lazy they would just give the students work without even caring if they did well or not. They don’t like the fact they have to set up test, grade the test, create homework and also correct it, and the biggest one of all is giving up there free time especially there off days to come to work to help students graduate, obtain credits or give them an opportunity to pass the class and with that they would have to prepare work for them. This then has an impact on the students because they not getting the full help they really need or they just end up getting work without even getting it looked at.

Parents must start asking their kids hows school going or if the teachers are doing a good job teaching there kids. If not parents must take the initiative and going to the school to see what exactly is the problem on why there kid is complaining about the teacher. If after the parent talks to the teacher and there is no change in the class then the parents should go straight to the principle and report the teacher about how they are not doing there job properly and there not teaching there kids the proper information needed to make proper decisions for there future. Parents these days shows no interest in there child’s education all they care about is that they go to school and that’s it but there child. When my high school had parent teacher conference there were barely any parents showing up to see there kids report cards or talk to the teachers to see how there kid is doing in that class or if they are behaving good or bad in class. Some parents have to change so they can keep there kid on the right track

“The origins of the slang word valid”

The word valid means having a sound basis in logic or fact; reasonable or but it also has different meanings. In today society the word valid is being used as a slang and have many different meaning and is being used in many different ways. The slang originated in Brooklyn and had spread across the state at a fast rate. The word had spread so fast because people started using the word around there friends or saying it around random people and then they started using the word there friends and that cycle continued. But the big question is how did some people know exactly what the slang word valid actually was used for. Some would listen to how others used the word and they would use that for reference. Others would use there own terminology to come up with a meaning and that is why there are different varieties of meaning for the slang valid.

According to urban dictionary it shows the many different meanings of the slang valid. For example some of the meaning it showed are “if your agreeing with someone, saying your okay, checking up on someone to see if that person is okay, something that is very cool, something that is exciting or of a high standard, judging someone appearance, judging clothes or an outfit you have seen, something that you think is awesome or expressed in admiration, and also saying if a person is cute, attractive or not cut at all”.(urban dictionary). Over time there will be even more meaning for the slang word valid appearing from other people.

Most people just end up making up meanings along the way then other people just started to use the word in the same way as them.For example I asked one of my classmates from high school how did he know about the slang word valid and he said “when he went to play in a basketball tournament he overheard one of his teammates asking someone do they think the sneakers they saw someone was wearing was valid because he was thinking about buying them then when he was in the game someone fouled him and his teammate came up to him and asked was he valid”. So from then on my classmate just assumed that the word valid could be used to ask if someone is okay and also can be to decide if clothes or sneakers look good enough to buy. Additionally from that moment he started using the slang word and also he is one of the reasons I use the word up to today because he used to say it so much throughout high school. As I started to use the word myself my friend had asked me what does the word valid means because he said he the way I used it was different from the way he heard someone using so he wanted to know if there were multiple meanings to the slang word valid.

According to urban dictionary here are some examples people use the word valid for, yo do you think the weather will be valid because im tryna play ball, do you think these sneakers is valid enough to buy, yo my eyes valid cause I was just finished smoking, you valid cause you look sick, do you think my outfit is valid, yo you think she look valid cause I was thinking about talking to her, yo that party last night was valid, She As Valid As Sam Jabra. People use the word valid is in many different ways. The word is very easy to understand and interpret especially if its someone first time hearing it, they can easily assume the meaning by the way its used.

Additionally here are some ways people use it in conversations brandon: Damn you see that girl over there, Jake: Yeah she’s valid. Keith: Yo that party last night was valid, Mathew: Yeah but those shoes I had on were valid too. Akeem: bro these sneaker to you, Anthony: yea bro they seem valid to cop. Raul: yo bro you valid cause you look sick, Marcus: nah bro I feel terrible my head hurt and I feel light headed. No matter how people use the word everyone seemed to get used to it. There is even people from different states and even countries trying to talk like us New Yorkers by using our slang in their vocabulary. There are videos all over facebook of kids outside of the United states using the slang from America to talk to there friends even though they don’t really know all the different meanings the slang word valid holds. If foreigners were to come to America and tried to talk to like us it would sound different because of there accent and also because there not very fluent in English as yet. Additionally most people won’t know what exactly they are trying to say especially if they try to implement a slang in there sentence or vocabulary.

Also it is not one of the most complicated slang words to understand or interpret because when a person hear someone use the word they can interpret the word as literally anything and then you can use it in your own way as long as it makes sense to the person you talking to.
