Serenitythe state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled

Serendipity – the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.

Moon – a goddess symbol that represents the Maiden, Mother and Crone as the waxing, full and waning moons. It is also a symbol of the spiritual aspects of femininity, such as intuition, psychic abilities, creativity and wisdom.

Moon magick- There is a belief common to many cultures that working rituals at the time of different phases of the moon can bring about physical or psychological change or transformation.

  1. Brit, these MAY work– but you want to think about the idea of community and “insider” and “outsider” words. Do you think that these words include some people and exclude others?

    The reason I bring this up is because you will want to write about, not only what the words mean, but how they are used in various contexts in a particular culture. Something like “serenity” or “serendipity” is too universal, I think. “Moon,” though, can sometimes be used in culture-specific ways.

    We can talk about it in class on Tues.

    1. Aegyo – used commonly among kpop fans when addressing the idols as cute or doing cute actions

      Sasaeng – a word used to distinguish an over obsessive fan/ fans of a korean idol or other public figure.

      Byuntae – pervert, creep. Applicable to almost every man korean woman tend to encountet on the road that gives off a weird vibe

      Ramyeon meoggokallae – indirectly translates to the english term of “netflix and chill”
