Klosterman himself writes “we live to eliminate the zombies of tomorrow. We are able to remain human, at least for the time being. Our enemy is relentless and colossal, but also uncreative and stupid.” (Page 3) In other words, Klosterman believes we live to remove the bad energy of people in our lives in order to keep our sanity. And continue on to what tomorrow will have in store for us for the time being. That our enemy will always be larger and absorb our time. The author makes a connection with the media and internet with our everyday lives by calling it our zombies. For the most part, we try not to deal with what we see everyday or we shouldn’t consume it because it distracts us from what’s important.
