Time capsule

Hey future me, I hope everything I’m about to say right now, I will achieve.   I’ve had a great last couple of months, but now it’s time to lock in and get things done for myself so I can grow as an adult. My biggest takeaway from this summer would have to be, “Don’t dwell on your past mistakes and focus on the present because you can’t change the past you can only grow from them”.  What I want to make clear to my future self is this is only temporary and my degree will last a lifetime so get this done now so you can have a better future and do what you desire in life. The goals I want to present to myself for this year are going to be hard but most definitely achievable.  1) Treat my body with care as in eating healthy. Choose healthy foods, drink lots of water, go to the gym so I can get my body the way I want it to be. Therefore, if I have my body feeling right, I will feel great mentally for the school year. 2)  Keep in touch with my teachers because the better communication you have with your teachers, the easier this school year will be for you and your teacher.  3)  Stay positive throughout this semester because it’s only going to get harder.  If you have the right mindset, you will be able to do anything you put your mind to.  4) Take life day by day because the one thing I can say for sure is that tomorrow is not guaranteed.  I do put much unnecessary stress on myself looking too far ahead and would like to change that in the future.   5) Lastly, make sure you come first because at the end of the day you the main priority.  No one takes better care of yourself than yourself.  Your friends and family can wait for a little.  if it means taking time for yourself to take care of yourself.   One pitfall I will likely encounter and will most definitely have to overcome is falling behind and not knowing how to get back up on my two feet.  Therefore, you can use tools to help you such as the internet where there are so many resources to help you, such as Youtube, your teacher, or even your friends and relatives.  In conclusion,  there are many people that have setbacks but it’s how you conquer those setbacks and come back harder is that makes you stronger as a person.  So future me, the Moral of this Time Capsule is to be proud of what you have become because you’re only going to get better no matter how life goes through experiences.

Looking back at this time capsule makes me so happy knowing that I’ve been achieving most of my goals and going above and beyond on many of my goals. For example, I most definitely have been working hard on getting my body in the right shape to start off most of my days. Secondly, I would like to add that I’m so proud of myself for making it this far in this writing course. For someone who has ADHD, it’s hard for me to really focus on something as hard as English which I was never good at, to begin with. I’m so glad that I really stuck through with my plan and kept going because it’s only going to get easier from here on out. Lastly, I wanted to add that I definitely learned a lot from this class as in learning how to pace myself, manage time, and do what’s important for my future first. This class has shown me how to be more independent than I’ve ever been in my whole life and I’m glad I had the opportunity to do so. I’m so proud that I have made it to the end of this class and the life lessons It brought with it.
