During our first class, Professor King introduced himself and outlined the standards for the class. He instructed as to what programs we will be utilizing throughout the course and what to expect. According to the professor we will be using hand sketching techniques, Auto Cad, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator as well as other tools to express out ideas. Professor King also mentioned the method to designing. It includes 5 steps which are listed as the following: Schematic Design, Finalizing design, Construction Documents, Bidding, Project Managing. We also discussed Zoning vs. Building codes.
