    A student has asked:
    for this h.w, were we suppose to read a few pages before we do it?
    what i mean is like… for sect 2.2, we had to read the pages for it before we do the h.w?
    same goes for sect 2.3? … do all 13 excel excercises but is this really needed for me to do the homework problems you assigned?…

    How you go about studying for the course is up to you.

    I would recommend carefully reading the text before doing the homework. Definitely give the textbook first priority. Learn what you need in Excel for the homework and if you have extra time, work through tutorials, do additional work on Excel.
