Lost and drifting in time,
The captain gives the hourglass a turn.
It’s been months that the ship has wandered the wave.
Each dip is followed by a swelling rise.
Each day becomes another journal’s page.
Another day lost a the sea is how the book tends to flow.

The crew dreams at night, the distant memories flow.
They’re brought back to a better time.
A lover’s kiss or a glided page,
in a family bible fill their heads each in turn.
But once the morning light tie,
their joy is drowned beneath the waves.

I love the summer.
I don’t love the winter.
I like the autumn.
I really like the spring.
I like how there are four seasons.
I love the thoughts of seasons changing.

I hate my favorite season changing.
I hate when it ends, the summer.
I’d hate it if there weren’t at least four seasons.

Listening to the patter of little feet.
Squealing and shouting around the house.
She makes time to watch over each child.
Caring for them as if they were her own.
Although she never gets time to rest.
She loves what she does and she does her best.

What she wants is for their behavior to be their best.
Their patter is cute, but it can also be mistaken for the stomping of feet.
Sometimes they have to put their tendencies to rest.
They must follow the rules of this house.
For this house is not their own
So they must strive to be a well-behaved kind of child

Hey Michael V., I like how your Sestina is about the seasons. I would have never thought to even write about that despite them to be a big part of my life. The water pipe has burst, and water is gushing throughout the floors
The water valve must be turn off immediately to take further action
Guest are complaining there is no hot water nor any cold.
Chaos fills the basement trying to control the water flood before it’s too late
The water is up to his knees, and moving fast
The boss is nowhere to be found and you’re head of the department

You’re now scramming all over the hotel trying to find colleagues in the engineering department
Upset guest are following down all of the floors
The team is trying to work, the situation is escalating fast
There are now FDNY department here to drain out excessive water in the action
The water is slowly under control and check-in for new guest will be late
There is nowhere to stay outside, restaurants are closed and its cold

There would be another problem on the arise with the cold
There are only so many people in a department
The incident will cause setbacks throughout the week, and the usual schedule for guest will be late
The boss has finally showed up, inspecting damaged floors
He is thankful for you for taking immediate action
The rooms that are damaged are taken out of service fast

The day has a slow start, now there is no time to rest, time is lost fast
The floors drip water, ever so cold
Floors will have to be gutted and replaced before putting rooms back in action
Multiple rooms are floors are damaged and are priority for all departments
The interior team comes in as groups ripping the floor
The guest is becoming more agitated as it gets late

Guest are accommodated but are dissatisfied by the room being late
Interior workers ripping floors out fast
The work will cost the hotel a pretty buck for new floors
Flooded rooms are stripped and windows open letting in brisk cold
The hotel is now waiting for the update of clearance for all departments
All departments now relying on you for further action

You have followed all procedures and protocol needed to take action
Ending of the day still feels earlier rather than late
The hotel is very gracious for the lead taken place for all the departments
The day has ended with the dilemma, guest is assigned new rooms fast
Many are still upset about the situation about staying in the cold
All guest is returning to rooms and swarming all floors

The boss commends you on your leadership to take action very fast
The night is getting late, and the hotel is staying warm from the cold
The departments are now relieved and final inspection of all floors

I woke up rubbing my sleepy eyes
Cooked some early breakfast to eat
Cleaned my best friend my dear bike
Something heavy hanging on my back, my college bag
Driving fast on the road to catch up my first class

Running with sweat entering to my class
Teacher shouting you’r again late this morning
Me silently taking out books and pen from my bag
Focusing on blackboard with future dream in my eyes
Missing badly road side parked my dear bike
My mind thinking for lunch break, what to eat

Buying my favorite samosa(a kind of snack) for my friends to eat
I still remember playing basketball after last class
Breathing in fresh air to pick up my bike
Remembering assignments got this morning
Driving back to home with sun glasses on my eyes

I wish I was more confident
on a day to day basis I compare myself to others
wishing I could be like them or something more
for all my life I’ve been the shy kid in the back
the last kid picked on the team
the kid with so much potential but I’m too scared to ever put myself out there

The thought of knowing what other people think scares me
even now as I’m writing this , would people make fun of me
my writing skills could never be as great as others
but that doesn’t mean I can’t share my voice as well

I Just need to be more confident
then all my worries and shame will be gone
but that’s easier said than done
maybe I’ll just think less of myself forever
or maybe one day I will flip the script
and change for the better

The days tend to go by fast.
Homeworks never last.
Technology has captured my body and soul.
I like to spend my day watching Netflix.
For breakfast, I like to have milk and cereal quickly.
Everyone I know is working and studying full time and it’s exhausting.
But the CR/NC credit policy is over so quickly.
Life is tough and we need to get through this and it doesn’t last.
Never give up and pray to God to help your dreams come true fast.
I am lucky to live, study, and pray in the morning which is my aarti(Puja), but life is exhausting.
I am a proud Hindu and happy to enjoy my normal life by watching Netflix.
I love to appreciate and enjoy everything with my body and soul.
