Topic: Dark Chocolate

Specific Purpose: To inform the audience about three reasons why Dark Chocolate is good for you.

Central Idea: The three major benefits Dark Chocolate having towards your heart, skin, and brain.

Introduction:
So, how many have you eaten a piece of dark chocolate within this week? How many of you heard your parents nag how chocolate isn’t good for you and it leads to bad outcomes? Well, did you guys know chocolate can be good for you as much as it’s bad for you? My name is Navin Christendat and today were going to talk about how chocolate is good for you?

Main Point 1: Heart Health Benefits of Dark Chocolate
– As we all know Chocolate can be very tasty but can also help your heart while fulfilling your taste buds. As mentioned on the site, www.longitivity.about.com on April 26, 2009, a piece of chocolate daily can help keep your heart  and cardiovascular system running well. Eating chocolate can also help lower your blood pressure with those with High Blood Pressure and help lower your cholesterol by 10%.

Main Point 2: Skin Health Benefits with Dark Chocolate
– The article of “Why chocolate is good for your skin” sited on www.divavillage.com states, eating chocolate daily can also help improve the overall texture and tone of your skin because the skin cells are able to repair themselves easily. Also with chocolates ingredient of antioxidant  it can help slow down the damage caused by aging, acts as a deep moisturizer, smooth out wrinkles, makes skin appear more supple and smooth, and can calm and heal irritated skin. For this reason many spas are replacing their secret substances with chocolate.

Main Point 3: Brain Health Benefits with Dark Chocolate
– According to the research at West Virginia’s Wheeling Jesuit University, mentioned on CNN.com on December 22, 2006, chocolate may boost your memory, attention span, reaction time, and problem-solving skills by increasing blood flow to the brain. Also the article “Why is Dark Chocolate good for you” on “www. Sharecare.com” said, Greek researchers report that dark chocolate may improve arterial stiffness. Their study found that it improves the flexibility of blood vessels in the hours immediately after consumption. Due to this it can make a human act more efficient because of having a more reliable brain that reacts faster.
