Description: This is a sketch of a Turkana Hut, located in Turkana District of Northwest of Kenya. The houses are built over a wooden framework of domed saplings. The leaf of the Doum Palm tree or skins are thatched onto it. During the monsoon season the houses are covered with cow fertilizer.
