In this article it shows that autistic children do have lower vitamin D levels but its not because of reduced duration of sun exposure. The exact cause of vitamin D deficiency wasn't resolved however, a higher level of anti-Mag autoantibodies were found.
Reasons for this weren't established so more studies have to be done.
