Okay, time for the big questions: what do we as a group think we recommend for the future?

What kind of activities should the college pursue?
What recommendations do we have for faculty? Departments? Schools?
Are there existing programs/activities that we should highlight or promote?

    Some thoughts on this:

    • College should have as a goal college-wide Course-coordination sites for every course on campus at the Associate level within 3 years so that adjuncts can use these existing “templates” and build their custom courses from there. ,
The Bachelor level courses would follow but it is particularly in the first two years with so many crucial foundation courses have many sections where consistency is so important that the emphasis should be placed initially.
    • College should offer incentives (such as release time) for course leader professors to create such sites for their departments. Course leader, as per the handouts Julia showed is becoming a more recognized position at the college and should therefore be able to be seen as something that contributes to the employees PARS in a significant way.
    • Living Lab has bene a particularly wonderful experience because it enabled faculty to get out from their department silos and interact regularly with the same cohort of faculty in other disciplines. Even after the grant is over, regular lunches at the Janet Lefler dining room should be utilized to bring these living lab alums together regularly and also the concept of creating a group of faculty across disciplines to work on improving pedagogy and the City Tech academic experience should be continued.
    • Presentation of L4 should be done at faculty commons workshops, at college council and at the campus-wide venues to encourage faculty to participate.
    • Adjuncts need to be provided with a college wide video & brochure discussing key initiatives at the college when they arrive and also provided with more workshops targeted at them. It could even be a webinar that they attend.

More thoughts to come later–just starting the discussion.
