This part of the article is about children dealing with their parents that were familiar with alcohol, and drugs. A lot of younger kids in this generation has grown up in a house with parents that are alcoholic, and do drugs. It is crazy because every now and then these kids might think it is okay for them to do it as well. I know kids that had to suffer from this because they felt lonely. They felt lonely because their parents was not there for them, or when they need someone to speak to they had no one to turn to. I had friends that had to go through this, and to the point ACS or a social worker comes in. “From 2002 – 2007 the national survey on drug use and health reported that 8.3 million children under 18 years of age lived with at least one substance dependent or substances abusing parents” these children are at risk in being in the child welfare system. This is crazy because there are children that feels as though that if they are under that they feel mistreated by others. Also, there are kids that has to go through foster homes. Get taken away from their real homes. This is sad because they do not deserve this at all.
