Texas is the leading state (Oklahoma is second) for capital punishment and according to the Washington Post article 3/10/15 that the state is running out the drug used in executions. “Phenobarbital”,is a barbiturate, that slows down the activity of your brain and nervous system used in executions. Texas has five executions scheduled for April and May, there is a concern in the state if they will have enough of the drug to proceed with the executions. There is no decision what will happen if they run out of the drug; except Texas Department of Justice stated “And our goal would be to carry out those executions.”
