Good Evening to all, As the Human Services Club President. The members and I are asking for help and opportunity to ask for donations to our campaign of Rebuilding Hope in New Orleans for children suffering from homelessness, homes still destroyed from Hurricane Katrina, and being able to give college students the experience to help us in our field of volunteering and learning about different communities. The members have a course called Volunteerism and they need 20 volunteer hours. The money will be used for flights, room and board. Any additonal funds after all the costs have been covered will be used to help increase the number of voulunteers and will be donated to the RHINO organization. Giving back to communities in need is a great quality to have, it is going to be a great learning experience for our Human Service students who volunteer. At the end of our experience we will organize an event to share our experiences with our Human Service students and the rest of the college. Many of the students are the first ones in their families to go to college and reside in NYC neighborhoods that have challenges, yet we want to give back to another community. That is awesome and we would love the opportunity to begin helping others. Our deadline for our campaign is February 16, 2016.
