New York City College of Technology, CUNY Department of Hospitality Management   Janet Lefler Dining Room   MEMORANDUM To: Prof. Abreu, Director of Service From: Fakhrun Nabi (Akash) Date: December 4, 2017 Re: Restaurant Review   In this New York Times article “At ugly baby, the name isn’t all that’s unusual” written by Pete wells he dives right into the dishes that he compares to other well-known Thai restaurants in NYC. This wasn’t his first run-in with the chef and owner of ugly baby as he reviewed his previous restaurant in re hook which he co-owned with a partner. The focus of this restaurant is to highlight the dishes from northern Thailand; the chef has previously discussed his plans to do this with Mr. Wells. I should mention that I love Thai food so when Mr. wells compare some dishes to the restaurants I been to and is near my house gave me a tingling sensation of being popular. In ugly baby, he mentions nothing is over $25 so it is very economical for everyone who is interested to give it a try or a place for a date. I will try this restaurant soon because Mr. Wells give it 2 stars and wrote very enthusiastically about the dishes. I would love to try it to see if I can distinguish the differences in northern Thai dishes oppose to the southern Thai cooking; which I believe uses more spices. Although Thai cooking known for fermented fishes so be aware before ordering an unknown dish. I also think the ambiance of the restaurant from the pop of colorful paint on the wall, the cartoon t-shirts and aprons, and the pop music played over the speakers make a great place for a Thursday night dinner.       “Providing Over 70 Years of Quality Service to the Hospitality Industry”
