Title | Paragraph on Quote |
Content | In "My Zombie, Myself: Why Modern Life Feels Rather Undead", Chuck Klosterman states, "Zombies are like the internet and the media and every conversation we don't want to have. All of it comes at us endlessly (and thoughtlessly), and - if we surrender - we will be overtaken and absorbed" (3). Klosterman is emphasizing on how repetitive the internet and media is, by comparing it to zombies. As we all know, zombies usually appear very large in quantity thus making them a formidable threat. We must not surrender and keep fighting to prevent ourselves from being "overtaken and absorbed". I believe Klosterman is initially trying to prevent his readers from falling into the repetitive cycle of internet and media. |
