This revolutionary tool presents itself as a gadget that no other tool has done before. Many college students struggle with their Literature/ English courses. They usually struggle with the topic question, researching for articles that help create content for their paper, and just writing the research paper in general. This tool will help you develop your research topic and help you with the research paper in general. Most say, finding the research topic is known as the hardest part of conducting a research topic. This tool is very simple and easy to use. The first step in this tool is to type in keywords that are related with the topic you’re interested in writing. The tool will then generate a list of questions relative to the topic so, you have options to choose between each questions that’ll be more convenient for you. Once you’ve successfully chose the topic question you want to work with, the tool will search up and create a list of possible sources that can be used to write with in your paper. Also, if you have a physical article in hand, you can use the tool to scan the article and the tool will then read it and states a summary of the article. Note that whichever source chosen, it gives citations and a brief summary of the article picked. From there you conduct your research paper.

One of the most problematic issues when beginning a research paper is narrowing down your topic into a specific and fruitful question. According to a journal article by Head (2007), “Other challenges were related to accessing resource materials, especially what students described as their inability to narrow down topics and make the manageable (59 percent) [. . .]”. Within the article a research study was conducted on the difficulties that arise during research papers for students. The study showed that 59 percent of students had issues narrowing their topic. When it’s hard to narrow down your topic it becomes difficult as well to find a specific research question based upon your topic. An article by (Munzenmajer, 2008) states, “The topic you choose can make or break your research your paper. If it’s too broad, you won’t be able to finish your paper [. . .]”. Narrowing down your topic and obtaining an in depth research question are essential aspects of a well written research paper. That’s what our application is here to do. To provide you with the specificity in order to help you conduct your research paper.

Business Wire described an application called iSEEK which allows you to ask a question and using its precise formula can find sources and information based on your question (Nicolai, 2009). While another website named Gale Opposing viewpoints displays the most popular topics in the world with information on them providing pros and cons of each topic. Although both of these applications and others such as Word Stream help in conducting a research paper, they don’t fully give you everything you need. Our research tool allows you to put a keywords inside its search bar and it’ll reply with all specific questions related to that topic and subtopics. Once you’ve chosen one of the detailed questions we provided based on the topic you entered, the application then displays all the sources based on that specific question. It provides news, journals, government and many other types of sources as well.

Researching about the troubles of finding topic questions allowed us to understand the importance of this tool. It is important to know what factors keeps the writers stuck when writing a paper because it allows us to know what is needed in the tool we want to create. It tells us what the writers have trouble with, when they are writing a research paper and why people have a hard time picking out the best topic that suit them. For example, when a person finds a topic that is too boring, they would not have the motivation to work on it. This tool we created is a solution to the writer’s block, which most college students go through while conducting a research topic. This tool created is a great benefit for all the writers because it helps solves most of the problems in a research paper.

Finding a research tool for finding a topic can also be difficult. There are many decisions to make when picking the right tool, such as how it narrows down a search. Our research tool was made from commonly used search features of other research tools. A basic search with most tools will have a ton of unrelated results, so advanced searches are made to find a topic closer to the one you are looking for. Another issue may be reliability, some research tools may have sources that aren’t really credible. The research tool discussed is based on an existing research tool by the school library, which includes scholarly journals, newspapers, books, etc. All of these are confirmed to be good sources, and the articles do what they say they do. In order to come up with a good research paper, you need a topic with good sources of information.
