Title
Psycho material
Content
Psycho is one of the most famous films ever made. It has been analyzed and discussed regularly by film scholars and critics for decades, yet most young students may not have seen it (because it is in black & white). Just last week Rotten Tomatoes ranked it as the number one horror film ever. Frankly, it is more of a psychological thriller than a horror film. To fully appreciate it, you must follow this sequence: 1) Watch the full film: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tf547d9v4wbq429/AADrM8wEIi5le7LdHFaUesvva?dl=0&preview=Psycho.mkv 1 hour and 46 minutes 2) Then watch two videos I put together using parts of a documentary on it as well as various other clips. I think you will then appreciate the movie even more: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5ullhb1h17i2h7s/AAD9bYJ-8_DPZJr92bhODPG5a?dl=0&preview=Psycho+52+docu.mp4 15 and a half minutes. 3) https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5ullhb1h17i2h7s/AAD9bYJ-8_DPZJr92bhODPG5a?dl=0&preview=Psycho+Misc.mp4 23 minutes 4) Read the second essay assignment to know what you are expected to do with Psycho and Rear Window and their two source stories. 5) Read the short novel, Psycho (1959) by Robert Bloch. It is among the 8 stories I sent you. 6) Request the quiz for this book. The quiz is NOT on the film. 7) Finish the Hitchcock essay soon. Assignments are piling up but we are only doing exactly what we would have done in a real classroom as far as viewings.
