stone is commonly used on buildings around the world due to its abundance, and its one of the most sturdier materials out there, there are also many categories under its name, such as if its igneous, metamorphic or sedimentary, each can be branched of into separate categories by how different these 3 can be made and what they can turn into, depending on the pressure, heat, and environment around it, this can also determian if it will be a good material that is porous or nonporous meaning if water can seep through it or it it keeps water out.
