I totally agree with the quote: “Language is power” because language allows people to communicate with each other in a direct and meaningful way through words which can convey mood, imagery, feelings and thoughts that allow understanding of another’s point of view.
Language is one of the most important ways of connection. Thanks to language we have opportunity to communicate and understand each other without any problems. For this reason, I am strongly agree with this statement and also want to emphasize on the point that a language is not only a power this is also very useful âweaponâ that can be used in critical situations to stop different conflicts. âWeaponâ that can change situation in positive way without any explosion. Martin Luiter King in a speech âI Have A Dreamâ proved that a language are power and “weapon” in the same time because his speech changed relation to Afro Americans in our society.
