the moment in the text that stood out to me was in chapter 10 page 72-73. This is when tibuta was being accused of witch craft and being accused of indulging games with the devil. The moment tibuta was accused of witch craft goodwife Paris forgot all about the good tibuta did for her by getting her better when she was ill. Tibita in my opinion was trying to hold her composure and not let this accusation make her do something she’ll regret. Earlier in the book when she was heard the word witch she had chased the children out the house. Just because  someone knows something about healing in order to help others to get better, but I believe because she was a slave and knew of such she was labeled. I also believe that Betsy was put up to this by someone else in the town because her and tibuta were close and for her to suddenly do this and have everyone turn against tibuta is strange.
