Summary of Ripe Figs

After reading the Reading the Ripe Figs, I learned that Babette is a young girl who is restless and impatient. Maman- Nainaine is the step- mother of Babette and unlike Babette Maman- Nainaine is very patient. Both characters in the story have different personalities but both learn from each other. They are living in the farm site because they are growing sugar canes. Maman- Nainane likes to tell Babette lessons so that she can learn. This story is showing how two unlike people can learn from each other.
