When talking about hunger in America ones income is also a factor. New York City is the financial capital of the world but also owns the title of being the most financially polarized city of the world. For every $1 a person who is considered living in poverty makes, his counterpart in the top one percent gets $352. With an income disparity like this in our major cities it will only accelerates the causes and effects of hunger and the secondary issues it cultivates.
