Finding an internship that fits my busy schedule has always been a challenge. I would apply to companies but would be denied due to my tight schedule. I stated this to the professor and pointed me toward a non-profit organization that she has connections with and got me through the door. She said that the organization is always looking for new people to add to their design team. I applied and they got back to me via a phone call from the CEO himself. He stated that I would need to do an onboarding via Microsoft Teams. I went through the process and started to get in contact with my supervisor and how the company would count my hours and things of that nature.
I was then given the title of Design Digital Associate and joined their Communications and Marketing Department. I found it to be a great fit due to the fact that I would hope to one day be a key member of a marketing team and this helps me get to the first step of getting closer to that goal.
