Bio:
My name is Elian Sarmiento, my major is in communication design which helps me explore options for me to get into fields I haven’t explored yet. Iam a recent graduate of LaGuardia community college aiming for my associate’s degree centered around game development, I grew up playing video games and still do and have a career goal in mind to someday be part of a team or studio that develops games for the public. My time in LaGuardia has helped me grow my skills in these fields and pursue a higher degree to further my skills in game development. I work part time at a UPS facility in the JFK airport to help me financially in my education, to support my parents, and to increase my skills in communication and teamwork. I try my best to balance work, school and life but sometimes I neglect one or the other because of lack of time on my end. I play games and chat with friends in my spare time over voice calls to help me stay in touch with friends over this pandemic we are all facing.
