Today we are going to learn how to do blocking notation.
Watch the videos, then down load the promptbook script for the play Trifle.
Trifles is a one-act play by Susan Glaspell. It was first performed by the Provincetown Players at the Wharf Theatre in Provincetown, Massachusetts, on August 8, 1916. Written in the same era as the first wave of feminism, the play contrasts how women act in public and in private as well as how they communicate in front of other women versus how they perform in front of men.

Blocking notation tools in MS word
We suggest you use the script you were given to fill in your blocking notes using a pencil. If you want to use MS word; watch the following video for a description of how to add your notation using MS Word.
Assignment
Watch the play all the way through it is a very short one act. Feel free to stop and rewind as needed to do your assignment. We will work on this together in class on the day the project is assigned.
At the top of the ms word file of the script is the link to the play on youtube. At the end of the script is the notation list I started. For grading purposes please use the notation blocks your professor provided. You are allowed to add notation blocks if needed. Turn in the filled in promptbook script and Notation legend on blackboard.
No more than 10 notes per page.
Turn your completed work in person using the script you were given to your professor.
