Introduction

The internet has become one of the most dependable resources of our society today. This highway speed channel is used for almost everything in our lives, we use it to communicate with others from short and long distances for mailing and its also the main source of how we stay informed with the world. The concern of today is people are mostly receiving their news sources from social media account such as facebook, instagram and twitter. Through these platforms we are more susceptible of misinformation and disinformation from users with mal-intent or online entities used to cause confusion and havoc.  The summary report that we are presenting “The Spread of Misinformation on Social Media”  will discuss these topics more in detail which was prepared for an assignment in Prof. Choi’s ENG 2575 class.
