Remember that tomorrow we are meet in front of the library!

See you at 8:30 on the fourth floor of the Atrium building, in front of the library doors. If you don’t see us there, we’ve probably already gone inside the library doors, or up to the classroom on the second floor of the library, where our research project tutorial will be held. (If that’s the case, do join us, quietly.)

Thanks!

I’ve been emailing practice midterm feedback…

… to everyone who has asked for it. SO if you would like feedback on your summary paragraph, too, make sure to email me!

The same goes for drafts of your Essay #1!

Your Course Agenda has been updated–see “Syllabus.”

And your Essay 1 options (the handout I gave you guys today) has been uploaded under “Assignments.”

Your outline for Essay 1 is due next Tuesday.

Also for next Tuesday, read and summarize “Where I’m From” in our textbook–p. 30–and do the related Writing Task on p. 30 (write a “Where I’m From” prose poem of your own).

Next week you’ll also be taking Quiz #2–on transition terms and phrases–so let me know if you have any questions about that.

Lastly, I’ve already told a couple of people they can take a make-up Quiz #1 next week directly after class. So if you didn’t do well on the quiz I handed back today (the one on sentences, fragments and subject-verb agreement) and would like to try again (on a different quiz, of course, but one testing the same material), EMAIL ME.

Thanks guys! Have a wonderful week.
