Some information and suggestions you may find of value follows:
Credit Accumulation
Students who complete 15 credits each semester or 30 credits a year save time and money. Tuition costs are the same for 12 to 18 credits per semester. If scheduling is an issue, asynchronous sections, with no set meeting time, may provide the flexibility students need to register for 15 or more credits. Please suggest this option if needed.
Bursar Holds
One of the many unfortunate outcomes of the ongoing pandemic is that a large number of students have bursar holds (currently, students with a past balance of over $200 will have a bursar hold). While providing guidance on financial aid is beyond the scope and expertise of faculty, pointing students to where they can get support may help. Following is an excerpt of the information the Financial Aid Office provides. Also, if the student has paid off their balance and the bursar hold has not been lifted, students can email the Bursar to address this at: bursar@citytech.cuny.edu
