Week #2

This week we read different articles and wrote an analysis of a professional blog we researched. I chose to talk about UX/UI design since that’s my strongest suit.

Overview/Summer: This article talks about UX and UI design and how different the two of them are. UX design portrays more to user experience and tries to understand the user’s needs and challenges. These tests are composed to try to pinpoint problems that the users may have using the product or the software. Nielsen Normann the creator of the term says that this scientific process can be applied to anything from “street lamps, cars, Ikea shelving, and so on” The end results are used to improve the product or service to better serve the users.

The second portion is UI! It refers to the user interface, which is how the app or software is designed and how it looks and feels when users are interacting with it. UI designers are in charge of making things look smooth, pleasing, and easy to navigate. Nowadays everything that we use digitally has to be designed by UX, and UI designers. Technology companies have been relying on these designers to create apps that we all now day use frequently. like Facebook, Instagram, X, etc. which we all now day use frequently.

This article has talked about the important process that UX and UI designers go through when it comes to creating and testing things that we will use in the future or that we are currently using. Improving these services and apps is their goal and doing so can help shape our everyday lives. UX and UI have a very meaningful impact on our society and because of that, we should always use these design techniques with moral ethics to improve the well-being of everyone and not to take advantage of one.
