In the onboarding process, it was me and other employees on a Microsoft Teams call. Our employer was letting us know what we expected our daily tasks would be depending on our departments. I was in the company’s Communication and Marketing Department.
My role in this department is working on various design projects assigned by my art directors. Some of these projects consist of working on assets for the organization that need designs applied to them. These can be envelopes, posters, folders, etc. Other projects are more based on social media. These can be social media posts for any event or to spread awareness. I am to design these assets promptly. Preferably 48 hours before the deadline, that way my directors have time to review the designs and give feedback. I am also to stay in contact with my directors on every step of the project. Communication is a key part of my internship since it is remote. My designs are to be worked professionally and follow their feedback.
