Style of the Show
My first thoughts was to create set in Steam Punk Style and I started looking for ideas:Ā Ā Ā
Also, I wanted to combine this steampunk with cirluclas geometrics of the boat, that showed below:
You, probably, asking: “Why?” It representsĀ Voorhees Theatre well, that built in arena type theatre, and will hide backstage pieces well.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
1.Scope
Truth Assassin is a Magician Show that will be performed by Tanya Solomon at Voorhees Theatre on May 2016. I will be working on Scenery Design for this show and perform all aspects as a Set Designer.
Performances:
pending..
1.1.Goals
My goal as a Scenery Designer is to come up with the concept design, work on sketching, drafting, scale paper model, and when scenery is build – scenery painting.
1.2.Project Outline
Research is needed to start working on rough sketches and renderings. The best ideas should be shown to Tanya Solomon and Truth Assassin Crew for approval. When concept is approved I should draft ground plan, section view, elevations, details, etc, build a paper 1/4ā model, then paint elevation and floor redesigns in 1/2ā scale. After drawings are approved, they should be sent to TD crew.
When first scenery flats are built, painting should be started. Floor should be painted before scenery load-in to the theater. Touch-up painting should be scheduled after scenery is mounted.

6.Project Summary
Complete scenery design for Truth Assassin will represent various of skills that I acquire in course of my study at City Tech. This production process, from the beginning to the end, is a good experience for a young set designer. On this project I have a chance to be introduced to all scenery paperworks, prepare and run them as a scenery designer. Work on a build process and communicate with the Technical Director of the show to get my design right.
7.Special Considerations
Time consuming situations
Scenery building changes/corrections
Painted scenery vs bad lighting
Unsafe structures resulting from poor design
Use of poor quality or unsuitable materials (sharp or unfinished edges, protruding nails etc)
Poor manufacture
Increased fire risk from the use of unsuitable materials
Hazardous substances
