Student Nurse-Clinical Rotations 2017-2020

• Encore senior citizen center                                                                                                          Served breakfast and lunch to the seniors, held weekly presentations on a verity of health issues, preformed blood pressure readings, and taught about ways strategies to becoming   healthier and staying healthy.
• Developed and implemented nursing care plans for patients and coordinated with
  multidisciplinary team members to facilitate comprehensive care.
• Medical/Surgical- Maimonides Medical Center
  Served patients on the Telemetry/Stroke and Medsurge units, assessed vitals, administered injections, gave medications, and implemented wound care dressings as per MD’s orders. Used therapeutic communication with patients and their families. Hung and labeled IV medications as per facility protocol. Wrote nurses notes on patient’s chart.
• Medical/Surgical-Coney Island Hospital
  Served patients on the Medsurge and Respiratory units, suctioned patients on ventilators,
  provided assistance with ADL’s, assessed vitals, administered injections, and gave medications as per MD’s orders. Used therapeutic communication with patients and their families. Hung and labeled IV medications as per facility protocol.
• Psychiatric-Coney Island Hospital
  Observed and participated in group therapy sessions for inpatient clients.
• Rehabilitation- Borough Park Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing
  Served patients on the Rehabilitation unit, assessed vitals, administered injections and gave medications. Used therapeutic communication with patients and their families. Assisted patients with their ADL’s and provided continuous care.
