Give Kids A Smile
An event that took place at our school where we provided free dental care and education to public school students. We performed dental examinations, head and neck exams, prophylaxis, sealants, and fluoride application.
Service Learning Project
A few of my classmates and I organized a trip to a seventh grade classroom as the “Smile Savers”, we providing the students with education about their oral health, proper diet, the importance of a mouth guard when playing sports and the dangers of vaping. We supplemented the presentation with demonstrations, activities, and quizzes. Here is a link to the paper with the outline of the presentation.
